Part identification

Fully or semi-automated production is unthinkable without part identification.

As a rule, bar codes are used for this purpose. They specify the transport of the part through manufacturing and detail the work steps required. This clear classification of parts facilitates downstream processing steps, picking, sorting and despatching.

  • Identification via bar code (label) or RFID (chip with radio technology)
  • Specifies processing steps
  • No manual input is required at the machines; parts are not confused. This eliminates errors and saves valuable time

HOLZMA deals with part identification as follows:

  • a printer in the air table area supplies labels, which are applied by hand
  • or a printer in the pressure beam area automatically labels the cut parts – an advantage with high output, for example when using the Power Concept
  • or a printer in the rear machine table area automatically labels individual parts in books
  • or with special solutions in the area of Systems Engineering

The whole control logic comes from the HOLZMA CADmatic machine controller and the HOLZMA cut optimisation program Cut Rite. This allows you to create labels the way you need them. Downstream stations can then automatically scan the label for the information they need.
